Cheque Padding Registry entry

Specifies the total number of digits in a cheque number. The actual cheque number is padded with 0s up to the number of digits specified by this Registry entry.

Usage

This Registry entry is assigned to groups:

where:

value

is the total number of digits in the cheque number. The actual cheque number is padded with 0s up to value.

This entry specifies that 8 digits are used for cheque numbers:

If the next available cheque number is 24, it will be printed as: 00000024.
